Dear Trainees

Welcome to this course "Entrepreneurship Level 4. This course consists of two unit standards which are:

  •  Unit ID 735: Establish a business as part of entrepreneurship operations
  • Unit ID 736:  Implement, control and monitor business operations

The courses are more of  practical in nature, and you will be required to update business operational action plan; securing resources to implement business activities; making arrangements to ensure the viability of the business; procuring business stock, operating logistics and human resources; and conducting business start up activities. As well as complying with legal and ethical requirements impacting on the operation of a business; implementing and monitoring business operations; implementing and coordinating business production activities; implementing and controlling business financial strategy; and performing human resource control functions.

Apply Basic Entrepreneurship Skills

This unit standard specifies the outcomes required to apply basic entrepreneurship skills. It includes basic knowledge of characteristics of an entrepreneur, basic skills required to generate a business idea, basic market research skills, skills to determine costs and prices in a manufacturing business and application of creativity to develop a business identity. This unit standard is intended for people requiring basic entrepreneurship skills required to run a small scale business. 


Apply basic financial literacy skills

This unit standard specifies the outcomes required to apply basic financial skills. It includes applying basic knowledge of banking, budgeting and borrowing. This unit standard is intended for people requiring basic financial skills required in work environment.
