This unit standard specifies the competencies required to read and produce sketches
and drawings. This includes describing different types of drawings, selecting drawing
instruments, preparing paper and select drawing instruments, producing lines used in
drawings, constructing different shapes and angles, reading and interpreting scales,
signs and symbols, reading and producing freehand sketches, producing isometric
drawings of simple joinery objects, and producing first angle projection drawings of
simple joinery objects.
