A warm welcome to the new semester! I am Michael Hausiku, your TVET Trainer for Entrepreneurship. I look forward to working with you throughout this semester as we develop the knowledge, skills, and creativity needed to identify and develop business opportunities.
📘 About the Unit
This unit focuses on the basic Entrepreneurship skills required to start and operate a small-scale business. Throughout the unit, you will develop practical knowledge and skills in:

Understanding the characteristics of an entrepreneur

Generating and developing business ideas

Applying basic market research skills

Determining costs and prices in a manufacturing business

Applying creativity to develop a business identity
The unit is designed for people who require basic entrepreneurial skills to start, manage, and operate a small-scale business.

Learning Hours: 40 Hours
Credits: 5
📝 Assessment
The unit consists of 5 Elements, and each element will be assessed separately.
You will be required to write a test for each of the five elements. Therefore, it is important to study the notes provided on Moodle and complete all learning activities and assessments.
✅ Passing Requirement
The minimum passing mark for each test is 60%.

60% or above: You have passed the element.

Below 60%: You will be required to write a re-test.
Please make use of the notes and learning materials uploaded on Moodle and ensure that you prepare adequately for each assessment.
