Purpose

This unit standard specifies the competencies required to remove service and refit wind,

solar and diesel pumps. It specifies competencies required to:

• establish pump head history and workplace policy

• prepare to remove, solar pump, diesel pump and wind pump head

• carry out removal and repairs to solar, pump diesel pump and wind pump head

• refit wind pump head, solar pump and diesel pump

• Complete service and repair activities of solar, diesel and wind pumps.
