This Unit standard is intended for those who communicate effectively with colleagues
and clients in an office environment. People credited with this unit standard are able to
gather, convey and receive instructions and information in an office environment;
participate in meetings in an office environment; and complete relevant work related
documents.
The
purpose of this course is to provide learners with the necessary
knowledge related to DEMONSTRATE UNDERSTANDING
OF RATIONAL AND IRRATIONAL NUMBERS AND NUMBER SYSTEMS.
This unit standard specifies the competency required to engage in counselling with
people on HIV and AIDS. It includes developing and updating personal knowledge
about HIV related counselling models, policy and legislation in Namibia; establishing
the counselling relationship with client; assisting the client to identify purpose for
counselling; ensuring client has relevant knowledge about HIV and AIDS; assisting
client to work towards achieving identified purpose for counselling; assisting client to
implement counselling plan; and effecting closure of the counselling relationship with
the client.
This unit standard is intended for those who work in counselling services.

towards maturity as a counsellor. It includes participating in programmes to identify
own strengths and weaknesses as a counsellor; identifying functional models that are
based on human development; and developing personal qualities for effective
counselling.
This unit standard is intended for those who use mathematics to investigate and monitor the
financial aspects of personal and community life. People credited with this unit standard are able to
use mathematics to plan and control personal and /or household budgets and income and
expenditure, and use simple and compound interest to make sense of and define a variety of
situations.
This unit standard is intended for people who carry out work in the wholesale and retail operations.
