This course provides trainees with the theoretical knowledge required to become competent electricians. It covers electrical principles, electrical safety, electrical regulations and standards, electrical materials, tools and equipment, wiring systems, electrical machines, control circuits, measurements, testing and fault finding. The course develops the knowledge needed to perform electrical work safely, correctly and in accordance with industry standards

  In this module, learners should be able to demonstrate understanding of nonsinusoidal waves, single-phase circuits, three-phase balanced and unbalanced loads, vector diagrams and resonance in AC circuits.

Upon completion of this module, learners should be able to demonstrate understanding of the wiring diagrams and operation of cooking appliances, heating appliances, water heaters, threeheat stove switches, simmerstat switches, oven thermostat switches, induction cookers and washing machines.
