In this module, learners should be able to demonstrate understanding of nonsinusoidal waves, single-phase circuits, three-phase balanced and unbalanced loads, vector
diagrams and resonance in AC circuits.
Upon completion of this module, learners should be able to demonstrate understanding of the
wiring diagrams and operation of cooking appliances, heating appliances, water heaters, threeheat stove switches, simmerstat switches, oven thermostat switches, induction cookers and
washing machines.
