This unit standard is intended for those who are required to recognise pc equipment and accessories. Those credited with
this unit standard should be able to demonstrate knowledge of the impact of computing on society, identify the types of
computers and main computer components including peripherals. They should also be able to demonstrate an
understanding of health and safety standards when handling PC equipment and accessories.
This unit standard is intended for those who work as an Assistant Computer Technician .
